Alberta Small Claims Court raises limit to $50,000.00


The Alberta Small Claims Court has raised their monetary jurisdiction from $25,000.00 to $50,000.00. There is talk within the Ontario legal community of the benefits that the higher limit can achieve. Some of these benefits include the lessening of burden on higher courts and more access to justice for the public.

Currently, Ontario boasts a $25,000.00 limit in Small Claims Court.
