National Rent Averages 9.5% Spike
The average rent across Canada has spiked 9.5% over the last year. Condominiums are up even higher at 10.5%. A few examples of new average rents across the board include:
Vancouver (one-bedroom) average $2,412 per month;
Vancouver (two-bedrooms) average $3,600 per month;
Toronto (one-bedroom) average over $2,000 per month;
Richmond B.C. (one-bedroom) average over $2,000 per month;
Oakville (one-bedroom) average over $2,000 per month;
Burnaby B.C. (one-bedroom) average over $2,000 per month;
Burlington (one-bedroom) average over $2,000 per month;
Oshawa (one-bedroom) average over $1,645 per month;
Oshawa (two-bedrooms) average over $1,916 per month; and
Pickering (two-bedrooms) average over $2,349 per month.
